An English Report from He Jinqian from Class 21, Senior Grade II of the Tongren No. 1 Middle School(Monday, November 30, 2015)
Good morning, my dear teachers. I am He Jinqian from Class 21, Senior Grade II of the Tongren No. 1 Middle School.
Rome is not built in one day and dripping water wears through a stone in one day. We do not need earth-shaking power and speed to cover one thousand Li in a single day, but we must have an everlasting heart. There is no end to learn and perseverance is the key.
Learning is like grass in spring. We can not see it increasingly but we can notice it growing day by day. Our aim is not the speed but the quality of learning. Trying to help the shoots grow by pulling them upward will do harm to them. From small increments comes abandance. So we can make progress.
It's said only two kinds of animals can reach the top of the pyramids. They are eagles and snails. Eagles rely on their strength while snails depend on their perseverance . My dear schoolmates, if you are not a eagle, you can also succeed by studying with perseverance. Thank you for your listening.
